Nothing really happens in this city: Walking with no shadows (2024)
This performance was a variation of Act 12: Placing sun behind a bird, where I responded actively to the bird call by walking towards them within the boundary of the camera’s view.
In this iteration, instead of using the GPS tracking app, the chase was conducted while holding a bag of bread crumbs, punctured at the bottom.
Despite my intention to attract the singing birds to fly over, eat the crumbs, and follow the traces of my reaction to their songs, pigeons flew in first and took over the table.
While the documentation of the pigeons picking up the crumbs was underway, a small celebration (assumed to be from a graduation ceremony) was taking place at a distance, harmonizing with the pigeons' festive feast.
Taking photos of the ‘small celebration' marked the conclusion of this performance.
